Meet the Designer: Elizabeth Southwood, Sauvage Swimwear
Sauvage Swimwear: It’s exotic, sexy and truly unique. Even the name sounds wild. Well, we can thank Sauvage owner and designer Elizabeth Southwood for that. On behalf of Sauvage, Elizabeth has been designing and manufacturing fashion-forward swimwear since the 1980s. From her mix and match swimwear collection of youthful, fun prints and solids, to her luxurious line ‘luxe’ of beaded swimwear and silk cover-ups, there’s a Sauvage swimsuit for every taste. That’s probably why Sauvage is regularly featured in America’s most well-respected fashion magazines, including the holy grail of swimsuits guides Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
Combining high quality fabrics and trims from Europe with good old American manufacturing and design, Elizabeth provides her dedicated following of customers with the best of both worlds, making Sauvage swimwear one of the most sought after designer swimwear lines in the USA and abroad.
In 2005, Elizabeth was selected as the USA designer representative at the 60th anniversary of Lycra in Lyon, France. Amongst such accolades, as well as a gorgeous line of skin care lotions and even a men’s swimwear range, it seems there’s no slowing down Elizabeth or Sauvage.
