Bikini of the Week - Azura Swimwear

This week at Bikini of the Week, we take a journey into the ultra feminine. We see a lot of swimsuits here at Azura Swimwear, whether at swimwear industry tradeshows or through designer swimwear reps, and this is undoubtedly one of the most beautifully feminine swimsuits I have seen in a long time. The bikini is Secret Garden and the designer is none other than Beach Bunny Swimwear.

Beach Bunny Swimwear Secret Garden

Secret Garden by Beach Bunny Swimwear

Theres no question to it, all of Beach Bunny Swimwear is, by very definition, feminine, but none so like the Secret Garden bikini. With its sweet color scheme and flower detailing, the Secret Garden bikini epitomizes girly appeal. But in Beach Bunny Swimwear style, it still remains sophisticated and very much for a woman at heart.

I absolutely adore the color palette of this swimsuit, a gorgeous mix of white with luscious pinks and enchanting pastel greens. The two colors are so complimentary yet distinctive in their own right. But perhaps what makes the color choices work so well is the design, or detailing, they are paired with. To my mind, this stunning designer swimsuit has an almost Hawaiian feel to it - others might site another country and they too would be right, but for me, the big open flower design reminds me of the island state, as does the way they dance freely over the swimsuit.

Another adorable touch I just love is the use of ribbons for both the bikini top and bottoms. It adds another element of girly appeal and seems a fitting match to the French embroidery overlay. Beach Bunny Swimwear designer Angela Chittenden loves her use of swimsuit detailing and, might we say, she does an excellent job of it, particularly in sourcing some of the finest materials from the world.

The Secret Garden bikini comes with a fixed triangle top with a very feminine shape at the bust. It is also lined, on both the bikini top and bottom, so there’s no need to worry about it going see through. And while you can’t see it from the picture, the bikini bottoms have a couple of interesting deign features, in addition to the matching pink ribbon side ties. At the back, you’ll find a delightful single flower detailing, positioned right in the center - it’s so cute and very alluring. The bottoms also have a lightly ruched inner seam, running down the middle, which give a very flattering look to the bum. The look is 100% cute and adorable.

I think adorable has been my favorite word for the day! But there really is no other way to describe this adorable designer swimsuit by Beach Bunny. Secret Garden is a really unique bikini – there’s nothing quite like it on the market at the moment.

So if you’re looking for soemthing that’s feminine, elegant and sweetly gorgeous, then the Secret Garden bikini by Beach Bunny is the swimsuit for you…

Bikini of the Week - Azura Swimwear

Ok, I’m not going to deny it. We are indeed in the midst of a black bikini frenzy here at Azura Swimwear! But with so many beautiful offerings, and each so unique, it was hard to pass them by. While we’ve seen some stunning black numbers by Sauvage Swimwear and Birdie Jo, this week is all about Beach Bunny Swimwear and a little Hanky Panky

You have to give it to Beach Bunny and designer Angela Chittenden - not only are the swimsuits gorgeous, but they come with such creative, and fitting, names. With silver nail-head detailing, reminiscent of a biker’s jacket, highlighting the ultra sexy keyhole sides, this black bikini can’t help but evoke images of a little Hanky Panky. But in true Beach Bunny style, this bikini is all class, perfectly straddling that fine mix of sophistication and sex appeal.

I might also even be tempted to describe the bikini as a little girly. Bandeau tops always ooze femininity, and with large tie sides, the school girl look is complete. No wonder she called it Hanky Panky…

But while this designer swimsuit follows the Beach Bunny mould - bikinis that are super sexy and one of a kind - it’s definitely one that you could wear more regularly. Like anything black - your favorite black shoes or your little black dress - you can wear black bikinis on any occasion.

Hanky Panky comes fully lined, but unlike most bandeau style bikinis, the top has adjustable eyehooks ensuring a perfect fit and superior shape for the bust. On the bottom, the bikini is Brazilian cut at the back and low rise hipster shaped at the front. There are also fixed side ties which elongate the figure and create a more flattering look for the body. When it comes to swimwear, those added touches can mean a world of difference.

And while I may have already mentioned the silver nail-head detailing, it’s worth bringing it up again. These make the swimsuit. When combined with the hint of skin seen through the striking keyhole sides and the black of the fabric, the look is seriously smouldering.

So if you’re on the search for a beautiful black bikini, or a bikini in general, then take a look at the Hanky Panky. It’s sexy, sweet and rock ‘n’ roll at its very best!

Bikini of the Week: Lady Lace by Beach Bunny Swimwear

Since its arrival on the designer swimwear marketplace a mere couple of years ago, Beach Bunny Swimwear has quickly become one of the most sought after swimwear brands around. Beach Bunny Swimwear designer Angela Chittenden certainly unearthed a niche market with her super-sexy lingerie-inspired swimwear designs, while also giving designer swimwear fashion a shake-up with a whole new look, feel and something never before seen.

This week on Bikini of the Week, we’re paying tribute to one of Beach Bunny Swimwear’s most popular swimsuits, Lady Lace. Lady Lace has become a signature cut for Beach Bunny, featuring year after year (with slight changes) in their swimwear collection. With its unique, sexy look, Lady Lace was also one of the swimsuits that first put Beach Bunny Swimwear on the designer swimwear map. It’s not hard to understand why…

This ultra-sexy swimsuit has a sliding triangle bikini top with adjustable ties at both the neck and back. But what makes this swimsuit so adorable is its use of fabric. Here, a super-cute black and white polka dot fabric is matched with sexy stretch black lace to give a girly yet naughty mystique to the swimsuit. It certainly works! And as a finishing touch, a sweet black bow has been placed in the middle of the bikini top… it’s so sweet!

Lady Lace’s bottoms are equally a mixture of naughty and nice… I personally think they look a little more on the naughty side! But either way, they’re incredibly sexy swimsuit bottoms. The same fabrics have been used, but here the stretch black lace has been given more prominence, and doubles up as a luxurious fitting waistband. The bottoms have a Brazilian cut backside with moderate coverage as well as the matching black and white polka dot fabric. And let’s not forget the super sweet bow…

Apart from being our Bikini of the Week, Lady Lace by Beach Bunny Swimwear was also recently featured in the 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. As if being our Bikini of the Week, wasn’t enough!

We recently posted a couple of articles about the 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue lineup, highlighting the whole range of Beach Bunny swimsuits featured, as well as some of our other designers, which you can read here and here. But as for Lady Lace, the sexy swimsuit was worn by beautiful model Daniella Sarahyba on location in ***. Absolutely beautiful…

Like we said, it’s not hard to understand why Lady Lace has become one of the most popular Beach Bunny swimsuits around!

2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue: An Inside Peak

Designer Swimwear buyer Yasmin Newman takes us on a journey through the world’s most coveted and highly anticipated swimsuit lineup of the year…

It’s that time of year again, that time we’ve all been waiting for. Yes, the release of the 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is finally here!

And what a truly spectacular year this year is. The 2008 edition takes us round the world once again, from the historic city of St. Petersburg in Russia to a rainforest hideaway in Maui, Hawaii, scouting out the sexiest locations you could dig up. And amongst some perennial favorites, we also meet the new girls on the block - the 2008 Sports Illustrated Rookies.

So let’s take a look inside, and savor the sights (not to mention the incredible swimsuits) found in this year’s 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue…

Sports Illustrated 2008: The Cover

Landing the cover of Sports Illustrated is something like winning the jackpot in Vegas, or receiving a gold medal at the Olympics. It is the ultimate prize. But unlike Vegas, it’s not all about luck. Marissa Miller, this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue covergirl, is testament to this. Having modeled swimwear for years, and for some of the industries most illustrious swimwear designers including Sauvage Swimwear, Marissa Miller has definitely earned her stripes. Shot on location in St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Miss Miller sparkles against a sunset backdrop wearing only an Anna Kosturova swimsuit bottom and glittering jeweled necklaces by Badgley Mischka and Mary Louise Designs.

The 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Models

This year we see the return of swimwear sirens Bar Rafaeli (current girlfriend of Leonardo di Caprio), Jessica White, Brooklyn Decker, Julie Henderson, Oluchi Onweagba, Anne V., Anna Beatriz Barros, Tori Praver, Irina Shayk, Selita Ebanks, Daniella Sarahyba and of course, covergirl Marissa Miller.

We were also lucky enough to meet a total of seven new blossoming beauties, also known as the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Rookies. From American born Quiana Grant, Melissa Haro and Melissa Baker, to Hawaiian beauty Jarah Mariano, Perth, Australia girl Jessica Gomes, as well as Brazilian babes Yasmin Brunet and Jeisa Chiminazzo, this year’s newest talent certainly gives some our previous favorites a run for their money!

And let us not forget the special guest appearances by the NFL cheerleaders, Indycar driver Danica Patrick, the four wives of sporting stars Jeff Gordon, La La Vazquez, Carmella Garcia and Johnny Damon, actor-comedian Will Ferrell and long-time Sports Illustrated favorite Heidi Klum.

The Locations

Sports Illustrated wouldn’t be Sports Illustrated without red-hot destinations so tempting you’d want to pack up your bags right now and jump on the first plane outta here! And this year’s trail blaze around the globe is no different. The journey begins in the historic city of St Petersburg in Russia were Russian born models Anne V. and Irina Shayk give us a guided tour around town. We next head to Israel to pay a visit to Caesarea and the enchanting Dead Sea where models Brooklyn Decker, Julie Henderson, Jessica Gomes and Tel-Aviv native Bar Rafaeli are kind enough to show us the sights.

After a 70s themed extravaganza and dance about town with funny man Will Ferrell and model Heidi Klum, Sports Illustrated heads to Lahana, Maui where models Jessica White, Tori Praver and Jarah Mariano show how to enjoy life Hawaii style. And this year, Parrot Cay, Turks and Caicos play backdrop to the stunning yearly showcase of ‘Body Paint’ executed by world-renowned body painter Joanne Gair, while St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands offers a water wonderland for models Oluchi Onweagba, Melissa Baker, and covergirl Marissa Miller.

Next stop is Singer Island, Florida where Indycar driver Danica Patricks swaps her racecar leathers for some sexy bikinis, before Sports Illustrated heads to Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands for a bit of pirate warfare with models Daniella Sarahyba, Melissa Haro and Selita Ebanks.

And last but not least, we journey to San Juan del Sur in Nicaragua to watch Ana Beatriz Barros, Jeisa Chiminazzo and Quiana Grant frolick in the sun before ending the world tour back in Maui in Haiku. Models Jessica White and Yasmin Brunet bid us adieu from their hideaway tucked away in the beautiful rainforest, and while it is sad to see the journey finish, it is the perfect ending to a whirlwind tour.

The 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuits

And now to our favorite part - the swimsuits!
Did you know that around 30 percent of readers who buy the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue are women? Yes, we women all love to dream about beautiful beach destinations and island getaways, and we certainly won’t deny that we don’t enjoy admiring the gorgeous Sports Illustrated swimsuit models. But when you boil it down, we’re in it for the swimwear!

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue has become somewhat of a bible for those interested in the ‘what’s hot’ of designer swimwear, so let’s take a look at this year’s swimwear designer lineup…

This year’s top favorite would have to be Beach Bunny Swimwear, followed very closely by Delfina Swimwear, Pompei Beach and Luli Fama. Red Carter, Zoe NYC, Debbie Wilson for Maui Girl, Ashley Paige for Girls Gone Wild, Becca by Rebecca Virtue, Domani and Letarte Swimwear all put on a good show with a couple of features as did Sugar Free, La Perla Mare, Perry Ellis, Chio di Stefania D, Badgley Mischka Swimwear and Anna Kosturova.

Bikini of the Week

Spellbound by Beach Bunny SwimwearAh… the mere sight of this swimsuit leaves me… Spellbound.

The name says it all…

Yes, I could stop right here, right now and not write another word for this swimsuit would talk for itself.

But what fun would that be! Such beauty, intoxicating in its presence, deserves at least a few words…

Like:
Stunning
Mesmerizing
Blindingly beautiful…

Add a couple more…
Sexy
Unique
Truly incredible.

And there you have it: Spellbound.

This one-of-a-kind, show-stopping swimsuit embodies the true essence of designer swimwear… Swimwear so beautiful, it’s a work of art. And the wearer? Well she becomes the masterpiece!

Apologies if my rhapsodizing over this Beach Bunny beauty seems a little profuse, but I truly can’t help it! This is seriously one of the most beautiful swimsuits I have ever seen!

Beach Bunny Swimwear and designer Angela Chittenden are nothing new to incredibly beautiful, designer swimsuits. In fact, it’s their trademark. But unlike her other swimsuits (which are equally sexy), Spellbound goes for sophisticated elegance, rather than wild rock ‘n’ roll… and with great success!

But what’s most spellbinding about this designer swimsuit is its incredibly spellbinding price…

For all the embroidered detailing, both on the bust and at the hip, this bejeweled swimsuit is quite the steal.

Now who’s spellbound!
